Advisory Committees
The Interagency Task Force on Economic Growth and Endangered Species may be assisted in its work by advisory committees.
Each project specific advisory council shall be comprised of the following:
- One-third must be representatives of affected landowners,
- One-third must be representatives of conservation interests, and
- One-third must be representatives of municipalities or other affected jurisdictions.
Membership on the advisory council shall provide the balance necessary to address economic, environmental and policy issues related to the specific issue or action under consideration.
Advisory committees created to assist the Task Force in its activities are not subject to provisions of Government Code Chapter 2110 related to the size, composition or duration of an advisory committee. However, in accordance with Section 2110.005, Texas Gov’t Code, the Comptroller of Public Accounts shall develop rules for the advisory committees that:
- state the purpose and tasks of the committee; and
- describe the manner in which the committee will report to the agency.
The final rules can found in the October 16, 2009 edition of the Texas Register.
