Sheriffs’ & Constables’ Fees
Effective Dec. 15, 2015
The commissioners court of a county may set reasonable fees to be charged for services by the offices of the sheriff and constables.
On or before Oct. 15 of the year in which the fees are initially set, each county commissioners court reports the current fee amounts to the Comptroller’s office.
Before Dec. 15 of each year, the Comptroller’s office compiles, posts and distributes the fee information provided by the counties.
Fees are effective Jan. 1 of the following year.
