Texas Weathers Economy
The Financial Times of London ranked Texas the top U.S. state in its ability to weather current economic challenges. The newspaper cited Texas’ employment growth rate, personal income growth rate and low home foreclosure rate as reasons for ranking the state at the top of the list.
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce has been named Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Texas ranked first in the nation for its business climate in an October 2008 survey of corporate real estate executives.
