Texas Cities Tops for Job Growth
Texas has nine of the top 20 best metros for job growth in the U.S., according to a study by Forbes.com. The study used job growth data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for 333 Metropolitan Statistical Areas.

Texas is home to the most Fortune 500 companies in the nation, according to a recent ranking by Fortune magazine. Texas has 64 companies on the list, up from 58 in 2008. Irving-based Exxon Mobil topped Texas’ Fortune 500 companies with revenues of $442.8 million.

Texas is still tops for business, according to a ranking by Chief Executive magazine. The ranking cited Texas’ strong economy, access to capital and transportation infrastructure.
