Businesses and industries are expanding their operations and building new facilities throughout Texas. Here is a sampling of recently announced expansions.

Texas in Focus: Alamo
A new report by the Comptroller’s office shows a still-favorable economic outlook for the Alamo region and its major city, San Antonio.
The report provides a detailed economic outlook for the 19-county region in the south-central portion of the state that includes the cities
of Seguin, New Braunfels, Kerrville, Fredericksburg and Victoria. The report examines the region’s economic development, demographics, infrastructure, health care and education – key issues that present both opportunities and challenges for the Texas economy.
The strongest job growth, at 44 percent from 2003 through 2013, is expected in educational and health services. One out of every seven San Antonio workers is employed in the health care and biosciences industries.
